It’s time again for the Real Women of Pinterest blog hop – time where the ‘real’ women show off their Pinterest-inspired creations. Started by my good friend MEP, this hop is tons of fun.
This week’s offering is….(drum roll, please)…. more candles lol! With me, it’s either crochet or candles; I’ve got to start branching out. Drama and I made two different style of yarn-wrapped candle holders, inspired by these pins (clicking on the pictures will take you to the tutorials):
And here are our creations. On the heavily wrapped holder, I used double-sided tape to secure the yarn. My advice when using the double-sided tape to yarn wrap anything – do not be afraid to use too much. In fact, the more you use, the better. Trust me. On the lightly wrapped ones, I secured the beginning and end strands with hot glue. And, proudly, only caused one significant burn in the process.

Your candles are really neat, Christina! Love all your hops. Posted on some of the social ones but too tired to follow back. Will return here tomorrow.
I hear you about being tired. It’s Tuesday and I’m just getting around to visiting everyone. Ugh, I need more hours in the day!
Totally doing this! Super quick teacher gift for my kiddos for Valentines day tomorrow! (A day earlier in Japan.) Thanks!

Awesome! They’re quick and easy, but so cute!
You are hitting it out of the park with all of these candles. Is Drama loving being your Pinterest partner-in-crime? I feel like whatever the result of a project, if I was able to involve my kids, it counts as a success!
Thanks again for the AWESOME button.

Yes, she definitely loves it. She really pushes me to follow through with my plans, too – which is necessary sometimes. I think this week’s offering will be one all the kids did with me
Neat, I am definitely going to try this!
